Our Story
Cheyenne River Predators Hunters is a group of four guys who love the outdoors and calling coyotes. We have all had success in multiple calling contests throughout the years and we all enjoyed the challenge of the recently started video contests here in South Dakota. There was talk back and forth while watching the occasional coyote calling video about making a video of our own. The challenges it would bring. The good times it would produce and the knowledge we could spread. One day that talk finally turned into reality and Cheyenne River Predator Hunters was born. The four of us filmed over 60 killed coyotes last fall and winter and we are proud to present “Calling the 605” that will be available this fall. We hope you enjoy!

I was born and raised in South Dakota in 1980 around ranching and rodeo. My grandpa, Pete Longbrake, has raised bucking horses my entire life and I rode saddle broncs for 8 years. I am a Civil Engineer by trade - with a pretty severe coyote calling habit to go along with it. Growing up, I had a gun in my hands, hunting as soon as my dad would let me. When I was younger, I had little to no success calling coyotes. In fact, I rarely did it for a few years because of that lack of success. Coyote calling contests started to become popular in the early 2000's and got me back into calling again. I have been hooked ever since! I have had a lot of success over the last 15 years, and have learned that there are a lot of different ways, sets, sounds, and other techniques to call in a coyote. We want to share some of that in our DVDs.

Hey guys. I was born and raised on a farm/ranch just outside of Eagle Butte, SD. I always wanted to be a professional rodeo cowboy when I was younger. I had some success in bareback riding, including being a 5 time qualifier to the INFR. My uncle, Frank, got me started hunting when I was younger, and I've been an avid hunter ever since. In my late teenage years, I really got into predator hunting. The past few years I've been getting involved in the long range shooting game. It's a blast and also a great training tool for the off-hunting season. I met Dakota Longbrake in the mid 2000's and we started entering coyote calling contests together. Predator hunting is my passion!! Every day presents a new challenge, as well as a new lesson. Now that we run the video camera every time we hunt, we have the opportunity to bring you along for the ride. A bad day of calling beats a good day at work any day!

Hello, I was born and raised right along the Cheyenne River. I’ve been ranching and rodeoing my whole life, its what I love to do. At a young age, I grew a interest in hunting. With there nothing but open country for miles, it seemed only appropriate. It started with my BB gun and rabbits moving onto deer when I got old enough. Then in Jr. High i got interested in predator hunting. Called my first coyote in with a cottontail mouth call, I’ve been hooked ever since!! I work on a ranch full-time now, riding bucking horses in rodeos on the weekends. During the winter you’ll catch me calling predators every chance I get!
